This is why they are sometimes called ‘instant orthodontics,’ as they can quickly eliminate gaps, crowding, and other issues you may wish to correct.
Porcelain veneers represent the advanced art and science of modern dentistry. They are handcrafted and highly customized to meet your needs.
Veneers are a solution for chipped teeth, stains, and severe discoloration. They can also impact the length, size, and shape of your teeth. You’ll be amazed at the sudden update to your smile.
This treatment changes your smile dramatically while leaving much of the underlying natural tooth untouched. Their ultra-thin ceramic surface adheres to your natural tooth allowing for a surprising amount of customization. Despite their thin nature, we can shape veneers include any intricate details you desire.
The process of placing veneers is highly specialized. Thorough training, detailed planning, and flawless execution are crucial to obtain the perfect result. Let’s take a look at the steps involved in achieving your perfect smile.
Good Planning Is Fundamental
The first step is carefully devising your veneer plan to ensure a flawless result. We use models, photographs, and digital x-rays to create the ultimate outline.
You and Dr. Patrick will work together to set your smile up for success. Dr. Patrick will incorporate your preferences including color, shape, size, and fit.
The Next Steps
After careful planning, we can usually complete your veneer placement in two sessions.
During the first appointment, your teeth are prepared to create space for the new porcelain. Dr. Patrick sends the details of your case to a specialized lab. The lab technician uses this information to turn your outline into a stunning new set of teeth.
While you await your new smile, Dr. Patrick will provide acrylic temporary restorations that will have a similar look to your new veneers. You will wear these for about three weeks. This allows you to get a feel for your new set of teeth.
The Big Day
Once the lab technician has completed your veneers, you can come in for your second appointment.
Dr. Patrick will assess the veneers for fit and appearance. At this time, you can view your new smile and provide any last-minute feedback. Once we’ve approved each detail, it’ll be time to bond the veneers to your teeth.
After he has secured each veneer to your natural teeth, Dr. Patrick will assess your bite and decide if you need any final adjustments. He’ll polish them up, and you’ll leave our office with a brand new, beautiful set of teeth. We are sure you’ll be thrilled with this decision to update your smile!
